They release more than 150 Venezuelans who were detained in Peru and would face deportation

Two remain in custody, since they committed crimes in the country.

More than 150 Venezuelans were released by the Peruvian police, after being detained in a nightclub in San Juan de Lurigancho. Most could face deportation, since they either entered illegally or their permit to stay in that country expired.

According to Latina, after remaining more than 12 detainees, most were released, only two remain behind bars, since they were requested for having committed crimes, one of them a woman.

The lawyer who was in charge of the defense of the group indicated that the priority was to free them, since they did not commit a crime, now they must take care of the possible deportation.

What happened

Last August 8, more than 200 foreigners were seized by the Police in a nightclub in San Juan de Lurigancho.

According to Latina, a total of 131 people from this group of Venezuelans (men and women) entered the country clandestinely, while another 44 have expired. There are also several requested by Interpol.

“Of the 211 foreigners intervened, 107 men and 98 women (205 in total) would be expelled from the country. It was learned that José Ortiz Mayta (one of those intervened), a foreigner, had an indictment for killing a person in Satipo”, Latina specified.

Latina also reported that there would be four planes that would transport these foreigners back to their country. “It would be the Immigration Division that protects the trip, in addition, there would be the presence of Police doctors,” the media reported.

The agents of the Emergency Squad of the National Police of Peru (PNP) intervened 211 foreigners inside a nightclub.

“Our Emergency Squad personnel are intervening in the “La Cabaña” nightclub. We’ve found drug wraps. We are bringing other units such as Immigration and all those present will be identified and taken to a police station to see the background they may have, “said General Manuel Lozada, head of the Lima police region.

During the intervention, several subjects began to hide and throw away their firearms to avoid their seizure. “These guns are loaded. There must be people here who are involved in some criminal act, ”said the police command in that diligence.
