They seize 1,368 kilos of cocaine that left the port of Rosario

Some 1,368 kilos of cocaine that left the port of Rosario in recent weeks were seized at the port terminals of Santos (Brazil) and Rotterdam (Netherlands) by the authorities of those countries. As a result of this, and after an investigation carried out by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office 2 of Rosario and Procunar, in collaboration with the Federal Justice of Campana, three people were arrested, two carriers and a port employee, and there are two fugitives. that are highly sought after.

The drug was found in bags placed inside shipments of peanuts. In fact, according to an official part, the cargo was sent from Terminal Puerto Rosario SA. In the port of Santos, the container in question was subjected to an inspection process that resulted in the “identification of the presence of strange volumes superimposed on the illicit load of peanuts and that they were packaged in various packages with logos that were identified as Supreme and “Louis Vuitton”, as indicated.

These are three shipments that left the local docks without anyone noticing the illegal merchandise. The first was intercepted in the port of Santos, when the Brazilian authorities detected with the use of scanners that in a container that came from Rosario there were 568 kilos of hidden cocaine.

Days later, in the port of Rotterdam, two other containers were detected in which there were 800 more kilos of cocaine.

Both the Brazilian and Dutch authorities gave notice to the Argentine federal Justice, which began an investigation to find the traceability of the shipments.

Thus, once the notice was received about the alleged illegal activity in the Port of Rosario, the local investigation was promoted by federal prosecutor No. 2, Claudio Kishimoto; the prosecutor of the Prosecutor against Drug Trafficking (Procunar), Diego Iglesias and the judicial assistant Matías Scilabra. And the search warrants were issued by federal judge Carlos Vera Barros.

Thus, according to sources from the investigation, it was determined that the original cargo had departed from General Deheza (Córdoba), but was “contaminated” in Rosario. That means that the cocaine was introduced at the local dock.

How did you arrive at that deduction? The seals of the containers were changed, since they were of a different color. I mean, someone opened them up and put the drug inside.
