Thief found hiding inside giant teddy bear

An 18-year-old Briton wanted for car theft tried to evade police by hiding inside a giant teddy bear, but was quickly spotted.

Joshua Dobson was arrested during a search of his girlfriend’s house, the British daily reported The Sun.

It was noticing a teddy bear in a corner that seemed to be breathing that an agent noticed the wanted youngster.

“When we went to arrest him, our officers noticed a large bear breathing in and then found Dobson hiding inside!” said Greater Manchester Police on Twitter, with supporting photos.

The same size as the young man, the bear was a bit tight, but Dobson didn’t hesitate to cut a large hole in the bottom of the stuffed animal and slip inside.

He has since been convicted of motor vehicle theft, driving without a license, driving without insurance and refusing to pay for gas.

He would also have admitted to having stolen a van as well as a toolbox and two tablets, in addition to having committed acts of vandalism.
