Through social networks, an act of intolerance that occurred at noon on Thursday in a commercial premises located on Avenida Venezuela, in El Centro de Cartagena, was spread like wildfire.

From cell phone videos, it was learned that a local vendor suffered first-degree burns on one of her arms after being attacked by a customer who was dissatisfied with her service.

According to witnesses, the worker brought some cold fries to the table and the client was offended, there was an argument and then, violently, the buyer pushed the employee’s arm into a container with hot oil.

In the recordings, the worker is seen crying and several outraged customers and bystanders. A few minutes later, the police arrived at the scene.

Now it is known that the patrolmen captured the alleged aggressor, 37 years old, and also detained the seller, 33, because both would have been injured. In a statement, the institution said that “the Police are responding to a citizen request. Arriving at the scene, the quadrant patrol captures a woman pointed out by the victim for assaulting her and pushing her into a container containing hot oil.

It adds that “The alleged aggressor and the victim were placed at the disposal of the Prosecutor’s Office for the crime of reciprocal personal injury and are waiting for a judge to decide their legal situation.”

The employee was referred to a health center because she had first degree burns, in the same way the alleged aggressor, who was also treated at a medical center, resulted in lacerations and blows to different parts of the body. The women were discharged the same day.
