After a delay probably forced by political circumstances, Xiaomi has finally presented its new range of products, in which the new mobiles stand out. Xiaomi 13 y Xiaomi 13 Pro.
But those are not the only devices presented, far from it. The Xiaomi brand has become gigantic, and at each event we can expect at least two or three more product presentations, such as those of the Xiaomi Buds 4 o Xiaomi Watch S2.
Xiaomi’s desktop PC
The Xiaomi Mini Host is another product that was presented along with these mobile devices, and it is perhaps the most interesting because it has nothing to do with the rest; It is not even related to other products of the brand.
This is Xiaomi’s first desktop computer, a complete system that Fits in the palm of the hand but that it is capable of doing the same as any other modern Windows computer. Indeed, it is more like a device for the television like the Xiaomi Mi Boxwith a weight of just 437 grams and measurements of only 112 x 112 x 38 mm, which allows easy transport if we need it.
Just because it’s so small doesn’t mean it’s low-end. The chassis is a single piece of aluminum that has undergone several processes with a CNC milling machine, sandblasting and anodizing, for a high-end result that directly competes with Mac computers.
Inside this small box we have a 12th generation Intel Core processor; specifically, a 12-core Core i5-1240P that reaches up to 4.4 GHz, accompanied by an integrated Intel Xe graphics. It’s not the most powerful Intel has to offer, but with 16 GB of memory it will be enough for anything the average user requires, such as using office programs, web browsing and multimedia. In addition, we can expand both the memory and the 512 GB of SSD storage that come by default.

The great danger of such a small chassis is found in the cooling. But Xiaomi has managed to integrate a large fan together with a dual tube heatsink design. This allows you to choose between several energy consumption configurations, offering us the possibility of spending less electrical energy if we do not need it.
In addition, the fact that it is a small computer does not affect the number of ports included, which are many more than we expected, with no less than two HDMI to connect the two screens, an Ethernet port (although we have WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3), two USB-C and four USB-A, two of them on the front.

The Xiaomi Mini Host will come with Windows 11 pre-installed (although it is compatible with Ubuntu Linux), and in China it will cost 3,699 yuan, approximately 500 euros, with no information at the moment about its possible launch in Spain.
