Tattooed and scarred: This is what Christian Bale looks like as the new Frankenstein
American director Maggie Gyllenhaal published the first images of actor Christian Bale in his new role as Frankenstein, in the film about the monster that will be called “The Bride.”

The images have been shown by the actress and director on her Instagram page and in them you can see the protagonist of “The Promise”, “American Psycho”, characterized with scars and sutures on the forehead and chest, in addition to some tattoos, and the film’s co-star, Jessie Buckleywho will play the bride of Frankenstein.
According to specialized media, in “The Bride”, Gyllenhaal, nominated once for the Oscarsputs a new spin on Mary Shelley’s novel and places it in Chicago in the 1930s.
Initially, the film was created to be a Netflix productionbut eventually moved to the Warner Bros. company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In the cast of the terrifying film, which could be released next yearactresses are also included Annette Bening and Penélope Cruz and the actor Peter Sarsgaardcurrent partner of the director.
For Gyllenhaal it will be his second film behind the camera, after “The Lost Daughter” (La hija oscura) de 2021also starring Buckley, as well as Olivia Colman.
