The JBL Bar 300 is a versatile and easy-to-use all-in-one sound bar, capable of attracting users wishing to improve the sound reproduction of their television and take a small first step into the world of home cinema. The good quality of the experience is, however, subject to two major conditions: deactivating the surround virtualization mode, and not pushing the speaker too much to its limits in terms of sound power.
Points forts
Balanced and homogeneous sound reproduction (by deactivating the surround virtualization function). Generous extension in low frequencies. Easy to use (clear remote control, well-designed screen, etc.). Careful manufacturing.
Weak points
Fairly average sound precision (distortion at a sustained sound level). Anecdotal virtualization of Atmos effects. Disabling complex surround virtualization. No decoding of DTS signals, no VRR and 120 Hz passthrough.
