Naglaa Fathy was born on December 21, 1951 in the Heliopolis district of Cairo. Discovered by producer Adly Al-Majdal.
After that, producer Ramses Naguib ventured to present her for the title role for the first time, even though she was only 17 years old, and she presented her first starring in the movie (Joys), directed by Ahmed Badrakhan.
Naglaa Fathi rose to fame, where she presented dozens of films, and formed a successful duet with the artist Mahmoud Yassin, where they presented together a group of romantic films such as “Al-Sharida”, “My Blood, My Tears and My Smile”, “Remind Me”, “The Journey of Oblivion” and “Sonia and Majnun” and “Emotion and the Body.”
Najlaa Fathi has been married several times, the first of which was her marriage to the engineer “Ahmed Abdel Quddus”, the son of the writer and novelist “Ihsan Abdel Quddus”, whom she met while filming a movie.
And due to his inability to persuade his family to marry him while he was still a student at the Faculty of Engineering, they married secretly in 1969, when she was 18 years old at the time. But after the period of indiscretion and adolescence ended, they began to feel danger and regret, which led them to divorce after one year.
On the other hand, according to press reports, after the death of the artist Mahmoud Yassin, he prevented his wife, the famous artist, Naglaa Fathi, from attending the funeral. A source explained that Naglaa contacted Mahmoud Yassin’s son and asked him to visit them at home to console them.
But Shahira advised her not to attend, out of concern for her health, because she suffers from a lack of immunity, which makes her more vulnerable to infection with the Corona virus.
