TN: good job for Manuel Mallo from Cordoba in Class 3, in Río Gallegos

Julián Santero (Toyota Corolla) from Mendoza won this followingnoon the final of the National Tourism (TN) motorsport class 3, which took place at the José Muñiz racetrack, in Río Gallegos, for the second date of the annual calendar of the category.

The native pilot from Guaymallén achieved his eighth victory in history (he had not triumphed since San Nicolás 2022) with an accumulated record of 34m. 39s. 721/1000 to cover the 20 laps of the 4,206-meter long track.

Santero, who had won in the second battery and started in third position on the grid, led by 1s. 817/1000 to Cordovan Manuel Mallo (Chevrolet Cruze), while the native of Lobería, Jerónimo Teti (Chevrolet Cruze) finished third, 5s away. 613/1000

The winner took advantage of a bad start from Rio Negro Antonino García (Toyota Corolla), owner of pole position in the final race, to settle in second position behind Leonel Pernía (Ford Focus) from Tandil.

But following the third lap, Santero overtook Pernía, took the lead and went clearly towards victory, without major surprises.

The Buenos Aires native of San Vicente, Gastón Iansa (Ford Focus) conquered the fourth position, 6s away. 586/1000; José Manuel Urcera (Ford Focus) from Rio Negro finished fifth, 9s behind. 940/1000 and Pernía (Ford Focus) from Tandil lifted his foot off the accelerator to avoid adding ballast and finished sixth, 10s behind. 681/1000.

class 2

Meanwhile, Matías Signorelli (Toyota Etios) got the victory in class 2, 16 laps away. The pilot from Buenos Aires obtained his first success in the minor division, with a time of 28m. 06s. 504/1000 to cover the requirement.

Marco Veronesi (Toyota Yaris) from Entre Ríos arrived in second place, 4s behind. 951/1000; while the podium was completed by the resident of Villa Gobernador Gálvez, Alejandro Torrisi (Nissan March), 5s behind. 669/1000.

The next competition will be held on Sunday, April 9, at a racetrack to be designated.
