As good as Juraj Slafkovsky was on Monday against the Maple Leafs, his Tuesday game against Ottawa is far from convincing.
Paired with Cole Caufield and Nick Suzuki on the team’s first line, the youngster has all sorts of difficulties in possession of the puck, as his plays constantly fall through.
He also seems to have problems with his balance. On several occasions, we could see him fall on the ice without even being touched by an opponent.
The highlight of the Slovak’s difficult evening, however, came midway through the second period, when he completely missed his cover on Claude Giroux, leaving him to slip alone towards the CH net and score an easy goal.
