Oppo is preparing to launch the next Reno series of phones, as the Chinese technology giant is expected to launch the Reno 8 lineup to India at the end of next June. It will borrow the design of OnePlus’ latest flagship phone, the OnePlus 10 Pro, but OnePlus President Louis Lee denied this, saying they were just rumours.
Oppo Reno 8 Series Specifications
Reports have emerged that Oppo plans to launch the Reno 8 series in China sometime in the second quarter of 2022, and leaks indicate that the Chinese tech giant will launch the Oppo Pad tablet and several IoT products in India around the same time.
As for the specifications, the Oppo Reno 8 series will come with a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, with a resolution of FullHD, and it will support a refresh rate of 120 Hz, and the screen may also have a fingerprint sensor built into the bottom and a Corning Gorilla Glass protection layer.
The Reno 8 series may be equipped with Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, which will come as a competitor to the flagship MediaTek Dimensity 8100 processor, which offers much more powerful performance than the Dimensity 1200 Max processor, integrated with the previous Reno 7 Pro lineup.
The processor with which the Reno 8 series will work may be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 internal storage, but its capacity is not clear at the moment, given that the last generation of the Reno 7 Pro series did not have support for expanding storage space by microSD cards, it is assumed that the upcoming line-up will lack this feature as well.
The Reno 8 series will contain a 4,500 mAh battery, with a fast charging capacity of 80 watts, and the Reno 8 lineup is likely to have a triple rear camera setup, the main sensor produced by Sony IMX766 and accurately 50 megapixels, with a sensor Ultra-fast 8-megapixel sensor, and a third 2-megapixel sensor for macro or depth photography
