Japan Mobility Show 2023 will see more than 400 companies, double the 192 companies at the previous Tokyo Motor Show 2019.

On August 30, the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) started selling admission tickets for the Japan Mobility Show, which was renamed the Tokyo Motor Show, and held a briefing session on the outline of the event. The previous Tokyo Motor Show 2019 was one of the largest in Japan, with 192 participating companies and approximately 1.3 million visitors. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2021, but it was canceled early due to the corona crisis. In 2023, it will not only be an event for the automobile industry, but will undergo a major model change to the “Japan Mobility Show” to show the future of the automobile industry and new mobility. About 400 companies, more than double the number of the previous event, are scheduled to participate, including the Keidanren Mobility Committee and mobility-related startups.

Some of the participating companies have also been announced, and in addition to Japanese automakers, BMW (Germany), BYD (China), and Mercedes-Benz (Germany) also participate from overseas. Sony Honda Mobility was also announced as a new participating company, and the scale of the motor show is expanding.
