Tommy Fury beats Jake Paul on points

Tommy Fury has won the much-discussed fight in Saudi Arabia against Jake Paul. The reality TV star beat the YouTuber on points.

After a split decision, the judges decided on Fury (74:75, 76:73, 76:73). In the eighth and last round he had survived a moment of shock when he was counted out by the referee after a hard hit.

Paul, who was visibly struggling in the second half of the fight, suffered a point deduction for being hit to the back of the head in the fifth round.

Fury, who was led to the ring by his famous brother and WBC world champion Tyson, revealed in his actions that he is the far better boxer compared to Paul.

After the fight, he also underlined it verbally: “Tonight I created my own legacy. This is Tommy Fury.” Paul, in turn, declared, “I deserve a rematch.” And there is said to be a corresponding agreement between the two camps, even if this has not yet been confirmed.

He was way ahead of his opponent, particularly in terms of footwork and punching technique. Paul, who did a good job despite his lateral entry into the sport, often lurked with wild hooks for the lucky punch. However, he landed some hard hits, which was also due to the fact that Fury repeatedly acted arrogantly and let the cover hang.

Jake’s brother Logan had also caused a stir during the fight. Just before the fourth round, the YouTube star, who signed a contract with WWE, called Fury a “bitch”.

Explosive: Paul has a rematch clause. In his victory speech, Fury announced that he was open to another duel. Paul clearly: “I deserve a rematch.”
