The most popular diabetes medications
1- Galvus
Galvus medication helps control blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes. It is available in pharmacies in the form of oral tablets, one strip of which contains 28 tablets.
2- Galvus Met
This medication is equivalent to the effectiveness of Galvus in controlling blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes, but it differs in concentration, as shown below:
– Galvus Met: 50/500 mg – 28 tablets.
– Galvus Met: 50/850 mg – 28 tablets.
– Galvus Met: 50/1000 mg – 28 tablets.

3- Vildagluse Plus
Vildagluc Plus, available in pharmacies in a strength of 50/1000 mg, is of great importance to patients with type 2 diabetes, due to its effective role in maintaining balanced blood sugar levels.
4- Victoza
Diabetics can control their blood sugar by relying on the drug Victoza, which is available in pharmacies in the form of injections at a concentration of 18 mg/3 ml, provided that they obtain it in addition to following a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
5- Tresiba
Tresiba helps control blood sugar levels in patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, but there are two conditions for obtaining it: the first is “not suffering from an allergy to any of its components” and the other is “the patient must not be less than 18 years old.”

6- Trajenta
Tragenta becomes better able to control blood sugar if a type 2 diabetic takes it along with regular exercise and a healthy diet.
However, there are cases in which Tragenta is prohibited for diabetics, most notably:
– Suffering from an allergy to one of the components of the medication.
– If the patient is less than 18 years old.
7- Saxenda
Saxenda injections play a major role in losing excess weight in diabetics, especially when taken alongside a diet under the supervision of a specialized nutritionist.
8- Novorapid
Novorapid injections help treat patients with insulin-dependent type 1 diabetes, in addition to their ability to prevent high blood sugar in those with type 2.

9- Novomix
If Novorapid is not available in pharmacies, diabetics can replace it with Novomix injections, but they must stop taking it if symptoms of an allergy appear on the body.
10- Lantus
Lantus is highly effective in improving the health of patients with type 1 diabetes and preventing high blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes.
11- Janumet
To ensure that Janumet is effective in controlling blood sugar, diabetics should take it while following a healthy diet and exercising regularly.
12- Glucophage
Glucophage improves blood sugar levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, especially when taken alongside a healthy diet and regular exercise.
