They have been writing letters to each other since 2019: Wels local historian Rudolf Dietl and Osamu Nonaka from Japan. Chance brought them together. Following in the footsteps of his music idol Franz Schubert, Nonaka visited Upper Austria four years ago. In a shop at Wels train station, the Japanese came across Dietl’s book “Z’ruckgschaut”, which he bought. After returning home, he immediately contacted the author.
