The General Administration of Cairo Traffic appointed the necessary traffic services, to face any expected traffic densities, and manage traffic, in order to carry out the work of removing the asphalt layer and re-paving the highway axis, which requires the total closure of the highway axis, starting from the entrance to Helwan “in front of the car cemetery” to the area Between the Two Mountains “in front of the May 15 Correction and Rehabilitation Center”, provided that the implementation of these works will be day and night, starting from Sunday, corresponding to 2/19/2023, for a period of (forty days). Some traffic diversions will be made as follows:
Coming from the areas of Helwan, starting in front of the car cemetery towards the Autostrad axis, take a right on the 15th of May extension road and walk for a distance of (2400 meters) on the left, and return to the Autostrad axis in front of the 15th of May Correction and Rehabilitation Center.
For its part, the General Administration of Cairo Traffic assigns the necessary traffic services and coordinates with the implementing companies to put in place technical assistance and all equipment indicating the presence of works in the area to ensure the security and safety of citizens.
