The Polish Football Association considered, on Sunday, that the project of the International Federation of the game “FIFA” to allow Russia to play its home international matches on a neutral ground is “totally unacceptable,” stressing that it will not face the Russians in the World Cup qualifiers.
The president of the Polish Football Association, Cesare Kulesa, wrote on Twitter: “This decision is completely unacceptable. We are not interested in participating in a match like this. The Polish national team will not play against Russia, regardless of the name of the team” in response to FIFA’s decision to force Russia to play its matches under the neutral flag of the “Russian Football Federation”, play its home matches outside its rules, and ban the Russian anthem and flag from international competitions due to its invasion of Ukraine .
It is scheduled to play Poland with Russia in Moscow on March 24 in the semi-finals of the third track of the European qualifying play-off for the World Cup in Qatar, with the winner meeting with Sweden or Czech Republic, who will play on the same day.
