SoftServea multinational software consulting and development company, announced the arrival in Chile of “Touch my Heart”a project that creates a realistic and three-dimensional virtual model of the human heart that allows, through vision, hearing and touch, to explore this organ in an immersive way, allowing its manipulation, exploration and study.

For the project that is in “demo” status in our country, a group of expert cardiologists from Poland and the Ultraleap firm collaborated, which developed a rug that emulates the sensation of touch in the air, producing ascending vibrations that emulate the heartbeat.

This technology is known as “feeback háptico”.

By providing a comprehensive and detailed evaluation of anatomy, the project “Touch my Heart” It allows identifying the functions and possible problems of the heart of patients, allowing its use by health professionals, students and academics.

Meanwhile, for patients, the virtual model can be useful to educate them and explain any procedure they are going to undergo.

The company also published an explanatory video on how “Touch my Heart” works:

The technology used consists of virtual reality, AI, digital twins, haptic feedback and spatial audio.

Today, the team behind the project is working on the second stage of the model. This new phase consists of the development of a personalized image of a patient’s heart, with the aim of transforming it into a tomography that can be seen in 3D. This, in search of planning and preparing a surgery in a more precise and effective way.
