In addition to the distance, the course on Saturday also offers some technical challenges: the course changes direction several times, some curves require good knowledge of the route and at the end you even have to climb a bit.
Four kilometers before the finish, the drivers face the Côte de Magès, which as an uncategorized climb is 1.6 kilometers long and has an average of 4.7 kilometers of steepness.
After a short descent, the last 1.5 kilometers to the Cote de l’Hospitalet in the destination of Rocamadour are also uphill, at an average of 7.8 percent. The finish line is in the old town of Rocamadour. The city is part of the tour for the first time as a stage location.

The favorites of the 20th stage of the tour: Van Aert vs. Ganna – or someone else?
In the time trial at the end of a Tour de France, it is always about reserves of strength. The true time trial specialists aren’t always particularly fresh on the 20th stage of a Grand Tour, and that always confuses the result a bit.
The top favorite is therefore not necessarily time trial world champion Filippo Ganna (Ineos Grenadiers), but Belgian Wout Van Aert (Jumbo-Visma), who also won the last time trial of the tour last year.
It will be interesting to see how well the classification riders still do after the exertion of all the mountain stages. Sometimes they too can fight for a time trial victory at the end of the tour. Finally, Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma), Tadej Pogacar (UAE Team Emirates) and Geraint Thomas (Ineos Grenadiers) are all three top time trialists too.
