Tourist yacht catches fire off Egyptian coast – 3 people missing

Three British tourists are missing after a fire aboard a boat during a cruise in Egypt’s Red Sea. Boats that rushed to the rescue managed to save 24 people. There were 27 people on board in total, including 15 British tourists, 10 crew members and two tour guides, local authorities said. All rescued are therefore doing well.
According to the local authorities, initial investigations revealed an electrical short circuit in the engine room as the cause of the flames. The public prosecutor’s office has also launched an investigation.
The boat reportedly left Port Ghalib on June 6 and was due to return on Sunday.
