Traffic agents are public servants, and attacking their physical integrity has criminal consequences contemplated in the Penal Code, article 429: “whoever exercises violence against a public servant, by reason of his functions, or to force him to execute or omit any act of his office, or to carry out one contrary to his official duties, will incur in prison from 4 to 8 years.
