Traffic Updates and Road Closures: Nationale 97, E19, and More – Live Updates and Detours

2024-01-31 07:45:00

9:02 a.m. Closure of the Nationale 97 in Philippeville

The major accident on the Nationale 97 in Philippeville is still ongoing at the intersection with the Nationale 5. The Nationale 97 is closed in both directions of traffic.

We therefore remind you of the closure of the E19 Mons-Brussels near Haut-Ittre with a diversion via the EST ring. E19 which is still blocked at Houdeng-Goegnies towards Brussels with diversion via the E42 and at Nivelles towards Mons with diversion via the A54.

The E429 Tournai-Brussels is still affected by significant blockages in Halle. There are more than 50 minutes of queues between Tubize and Hal.

And there are still major disruptions on the A501 between La Louvière and Soignies. You slow down for more than 20 minutes between Bois d’Haine Nord and Mignault, following a blockage at a Colruyt depot. Therefore, choose the route via the Nationale 55 between Le Roeulx and Soignies.

08:40 Serious accident on the N97

A serious accident occurred on the Nationale 97 near Philipeville at the crossroads with the Nationale 5. The national is closed in both directions and traffic is at a standstill in the Philippeville exit (direction Charleroi – Couvin).

Towards Brussels, traffic is quite easy for the moment: 10 minutes of slowdowns at the end of the E40 Liège-Brussels – the E411 Namur-Brussels and the E19 Antwerp-Brussels.

Barely 5 minutes on the outer ring between Groenendaal and Carrefour Léonard

This will therefore not be the case tomorrow with this European Summit in Brussels combined with the farmers’ demonstration.

Please note that the Reyers Tunnel will be closed from 7 a.m. when coming from the E40. Just like the Cinquantenaire tunnel towards Loi.

The Petite Ceinture may also not be accessible, just like the Carrefour Arts-Loi.

08:13 The E19 still blocked at Haut-Ittre

We therefore recall the good news of the day: the end of the asphalting work at the Daussoulx interchange with the release of the E42 lanes towards Liège and Mons.

The E19 is however still blocked at Haut-Ittre, you are diverted (without slowdowns for the moment) via the EAST ring towards Zaventem.

In the other direction the E19 is blocked in the direction of Mons near Nivelles with a diversion via the A54.

E19 which is also blocked at Houdeng-Goegnies and you are diverted via the E42.

10 minutes lost between Aire du Roeulx and Houdeng-Goegnies.

A vehicle broke down on the Brussels outer ring road near Hoeilaart in the direction of Zaventem. It has just been repaired. 10 minutes of residual queues are observed between La Hulpe and Carrefour Léonard.

Coming from Namur, you slow down for 10 minutes at Carrefour Léonard and an additional 10 minutes in the works starting at Daussoulx.

On the E40 Liège-Brussels, you are slowed down for 15 minutes between Everberg and Woluwé-Saint-Etienne.

Finally, an accident occurred on the R3 from Charleroi near Châtelet towards Gouy-lez-Pieton.

07:31 Reduced lines around and towards Brussels

The lines around and towards Brussels are quite small this Wednesday morning. Most certainly the calm before tomorrow’s storm.

The first slowdowns are noted on the E40 Liège-Brussels (+10 minutes from Everberg) and on the E411 Namur-Brussels (+5 minutes from Hoeilaart).

15 minutes lost on the E19 Antwerp-Brussels between the Puisie car park and Machelen.

On the Brussels inner ring road, you slow down for 15 minutes between Expo and Machelen in the direction of Zaventem.

On the outer ring, you slow down for 10 minutes between Beersel and Huizingen where the ring is also closed towards Haut-Ittre.

Closure due to these blockages in Halle on the E429 with still significant slowdowns there.

You also slow down for 10 minutes between Braine-l’Alleud and Carrefour Léonard in the direction of Zaventem.

07:07 Portions of highways remain closed

Good news tonight with the end of the asphalt work at the Daussoulx interchange and the release of the E42 lanes both towards Mons and Liège.

On the other hand, other portions of highways remain closed, notably:

On the E19 towards Brussels.

It is still closed at Houdeng-Goegnies with a diversion via the E42 and the A54 towards Nivelles.

It is also closed further away in Haut-Ittre. Impossible to continue your route towards Hal. You are therefore diverted via the EAST ring towards Zaventem.

This E19 is also closed in the other direction towards Mons near Nivelles with a diversion via the A54 towards Charleroi.

Blockages still at the E429 Tournai-Brussels at Hal.

We also recall these difficulties on the Nationale 57 at the roundabout called “FINA” between La Louvière and Soignies. There are therefore lines forming in the sector on this Nationale 57 and on the A501.

We will end by pointing out the first slowdowns on the Brussels inner ring road between Expo and Machelen in the direction of Zaventem. You lose 10 minutes.

06:36 Total blockage of the “FINA” roundabout

Michaël, truck driver, informs us of the total blockage of the so-called “FINA” roundabout, the first in a succession of roundabouts on the Nationale 57 towards Soignies.

If you come from La Louvière, definitely don’t go that way but take the E19 towards Mons and exit at Roeulx to take the Nationale 55 towards Soignies. Situation which can be explained by the blocking of a Colruyt depot on this Nationale 57.

We therefore recall the good news from last night: the end of the asphalting work at the Daussoulx interchange with the release of the E42 lanes towards Liège and Mons.

06:16 Good news fell last night

The asphalt work ended around midnight at the Daussoulx interchange and the bridge over the E411.

The E42 is therefore reopened in both directions of traffic both towards Liège (this was already the case yesterday evening) and towards Mons!

There are still deviations on our roads with:

The closure of the E19 towards Brussels at Haut-Ittre with a diversion via the eastern ring road towards Zaventem.

Closure of this E19 towards Mons near Nivelles with diversion via the A54 towards Charleroi

This E19 which is therefore also closed towards Brussels near Houdeng-Goegnies with a diversion via the E42 and the A54.

The E429 is still closed both from Tournai and from Brussels at the ring road where the road is closed near Huizingen towards Ittre.
