Vicala Gheorghe was rushed to hospital after being found seriously injured at home in Coventry in the early hours of Friday morning. A little later, the death of the unfortunate 49-year-old woman was confirmed.

A 52-year-old man, who police confirmed was her ex-husband, was also found dead at the scene. According to police detectives, the man attacked the unfortunate woman before killing himself.
An investigation into the tragic incident has now been launched, with forensic examinations to be carried out in the coming days. Police said they “firmly believe” Marian injured Vikala and then himself.
A West Midlands Police spokesman said: “The couple were former partners and a post mortem will be carried out next week to establish the cause of death. We are continuing our investigations into what exactly happened, but at this stage, we firmly believe that Marian injured Vikala and then himself.
