In the Volgodonsk district of the Rostov region there was a serious accident. As a result of a head-on collision of two cars, eight people, including four children, were killed, said the governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev on the evening of August 21.
“The heads of the regional traffic police went to the scene of the accident, the investigation group of the Investigative Committee is working, the reasons for the incident are being established. But people’s lives can’t be brought back. I express my deepest condolences to the families of the victims,” wrote Golubev in his telegram channel.
In the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Rostov Region reportedthat due to the accident, traffic on the Rostov-Volgodonsk highway was blocked, TASS reports.
