Tragic Car Accident in Strasbourg: Two Young Men Found Dead in Ill River

(Keystone-ATS) A car fell into the Ill, in Strasbourg. The bodies of two young men were recovered from the river which crosses the Alsatian capital, firefighters learned Thursday morning.

The firefighters were alerted around 5:30 a.m. Thursday by a person who had seen a broken barrier and a car in the water at the Maire Kuss bridge, in downtown Strasbourg.

The divers recovered a 20-year-old man and a 25-year-old man who “were declared dead”, indicated the firefighters, of whom 13 people were mobilized in this operation.
