A one-year-old girl died, possibly after choking on a blind cord. The facts occurred in the Valensart crèche, on rue des Charette, near the CHU du Sart-Tilman.
Contacted by our editorial staff, the Liège public prosecutor’s office indicated that it would not communicate this Sunday, but confirmed that a “investigation is ongoing.” The child was born on April 30, 2022. “The accident would have been caused by the cord of a blind”had specified the parquet floor to Sudinfo.
The hospital spokesperson explains that the crèche had been open for 5 years and that there had never been any problems before. It also depended directly on the CHU du Sart-Tilman.
The spokesperson tells us that the mother of the baby is an employee of the CHU, and she was working at the time of the tragedy.
