A seven-year-old boy met a tragic end while playing in a mountain of toxic sand at an excavation center in Brazil. He died a few minutes later of severe poisoning.
A heartbreaking photo was taken of the little boy, Arthur, in the sand minutes before he passed away with a smile on his face and a thumbs up.
The mountain of sand where the victim is located was found to be limestone dust from building materials, according to information from the media The Mirror.
This toxic substance contains tiny particles of silica which can cause severe respiratory problems and sudden death if inhaled.

Arthur was rushed to hospital, but was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
A member of his family, Romaldo Bitencourt, posted the photo of the seven-year-old boy on his Facebook to pay tribute to him and warn the population. “This photo was the last photo of him, minutes before his tragic death from inhaling limestone powder while playing…” he wrote on his post.
