The horseback ride turned tragic in Meldert. A 30-year-old from Grez-Doiceau died in front of her 7-year-old son.
“She fell off a bridge with the horse. The horse landed with all its weight on top of her,” the police told the Nieuwsblad. The exact circumstances of the accident are not yet known.
The child was walking a few meters from his mother before the tragedy occurred.
