A tragic incident occurred on board a Jet2 plane. As the plane was regarding to take off from Reus airport, Spain, a 61-year-old passenger lost consciousness. The vacationer of British origin was pronounced dead a few minutes later, reports LADbible.

The airline issued a statement following the unexpected death: “Flight LS684 from Reus to East Midlands Airport returned to the stand on Friday 6 October due to a customer requiring medical attention. Unfortunately, we can confirm that the latter has sadly passed away. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.”

Due to the tragedy, the plane was delayed by 7 hours. An investigation is underway to determine the exact causes of the passenger’s death.
