Master of Sports of Russia in short track speed skating Ivan Denisov died while performing his duty in the area where the SVO was held. The Russian Skating Union announced this today in its official telegram channel.
“Today it became known that Ivan Denisov, Master of Sports of Russia (short track) and competed for the Republic of Mari El, died during the SVO,” the union said in a statement. The Skating Union expresses its condolences to family and friends.
After finishing his career as a professional short track athlete, Ivan devoted himself to coaching. On October 19, Ivan Denisov turned 28 years old.
