This Saturday, around 4:30 p.m., the old N5 (the N5B) which connects Couvin to France was the scene of a dramatic accident. In Couvin, two motorcyclists of French nationality were traveling towards Brûly-de-Pesche, in the direction of France, when at the height of the Lahonry quarry, in a bend, one of them lost control of his machine before to crash into a tree.
Rescuers in the Dinaphi area were unable to do anything to save the unfortunate man. He was killed instantly.
According to our information, the victim is in his thirties and the father of a 6-year-old child.

The Dinaphi rescue zone went to the scene with the Chimay SMUR. A team from the Trois Vallées police zone also intervened.
An autopsy requested
The Public Prosecutor’s Office of Namur, informed of this fatal accident, opened an investigation and ordered an autopsy of the body of the unfortunate. It should be done this Sunday. An automotive expert was also appointed to determine the exact circumstances of this road trip which was fatal to this young thirty-year-old Frenchman.
