Kannur – A middle-aged man died following falling into Manakadav river. Jacob Wilfred (52), a native of Ernakulam Vadutala and a resident of Puthiyatheru, died. The incident happened around 3:30 pm. Jacob had come to see the river with a group of ten members from a travel group called Sanchari. He was walking on the rock and slipped and fell into the river.
Those who were with him said that he drowned because he did not know how to swim. Fire and police arrived and took out the body. Later Pariyaram was transferred to Kannur Govt Medical College. Son of Benjamin Frankel and Harriet Benjamin. Sheena, Sheeja and Gilbert are siblings.
