A police officer died and two others were injured during a shootout in Fargo, North Dakota (USA) in which the attacker was also killed; The armed attack occurred this Friday, July 14, local authorities reported.
In a statement, the Fargo Police Department said witnesses saw officers being shot while responding to an “active shooter situation.”
A civilian was also wounded by a gunshot in the shooting attack that occurred around 3 pm Fargo local time, in the United States.
Until now, the causes of the new shooting in the United States are unknown and the authorities have not indicated the identities of the police officers attacked, nor the dead officer or until their families are notified.

They also did not report the name of the suspect who was killed as the investigation continues, authorities told the media.
“Our hearts ache for the families and friends of the fallen officer and the two other officers who were shot. We stand with them, the members of the Fargo Police Department and the City of Fargo,” North Dakota Police tweeted.
