Train accident in the Netherlands: One dead and 30 injured

In the case of a serious train accident in the Netherlands At least one person died and around 30 people were injured. A spokeswoman for the fire brigade announced on the radio on Tuesday that 19 people had been taken to the hospital. The accident happened around 3:25 a.m. on the route from Leiden to The Hague at the place Voorschoten. The cause was initially unclear.

According to eyewitnesses, a freight train and a passenger train hit a construction crane. According to the fire brigade and the railway, the passenger train derailed. Some cars had overturned.
