This Monday, around 11:30 a.m., the Brussels firefighters, the emergency services as well as the police and the STIB, intervened in Anderlecht, tells us Walter Derieuw, spokesperson for the Brussels firefighters.
An accident occurred between a tram and a pedestrian. The pedestrian found herself under the vehicle. The victim was dragged several meters before the tram came to a complete stop a few meters further.
In collaboration with the technical services of STIB, the tram was lifted thanks to an internal mechanism already present in the vehicle.
The emergency services quickly released the victim who, although conscious, was in a “worrying” state. She was then transferred to Erasmus Hospital. Just like the tram driver, who was in shock.
