Chelsea announced on Saturday the arrival of striker David Datro Fofana from Norwegian club Molde. The 20-year-old signed for six and a half years, with an additional year optional.
Arrived in February 2021 in Norway, Fofana scored 24 goals and delivered 10 assists in 65 games with Molde. “I am very happy to sign for the club of my dreams”said the Ivorian international (2 selections) in a communiqué published by the club.
Fofana, however, has not played since mid-November and ” we will have to give him some time to train, evaluate him and work on the best solution for him to take this new step in his career.had recently commented Graham Potter, when the club was waiting for the last administrative formalities to be lifted.
Chelsea are still looking for attacking players
Hit by a wave of injuries, especially offensive, with Raheem Sterling and Christian Pulisic affected in midweek against Manchester City, the Blues are however in great need of reinforcements in front.
After the signing of French international defender Benoît Badiashile, the Blues would be on the trail of his compatriot Marcus Thuram, the Ukrainian from Chakhtior Donetsk Mykhaylo Mudryk, or the Portuguese from Atlético de Madrid Joao Felix, to strengthen their attack.
Chelsea also has formalized the arrival of young Brazilian midfielder Andrey Santos (18), from Vasco de Gama (33 matches, 8 goals in Brazilian Serie B).
