“Wonderful…!”

Kalyana Chakraborty Miriyala summed up the 50-day experience of Trigarbha Kuti in one word. Kalyana Chakraborty Koot and her son Theer Miriyala were at Padinjarkara Ayurveda Hospital and Research Center, Ottapalam, for Ayurvedic Rasayana treatment for young adults.

They are the eighth and ninth individuals to receive Kayakalpa treatment at PAHRC in their own way. Fifty-three-year-old Kalyana Chakraborty is the vice-president of JPMorgan Chase in Texas, US. Various treatments for post-Covid health problems have been tried without success. The search for a long-term solution is Dr. P. Bringing him to PAHRC run by Sethumadhavan.

“When I came here, I was struggling to walk or even stand,” he told Metro News on Thursday after coming out of the hut after treatment. Due to digestive problems, the body weight had dropped from 79 kg to 57 kg. Now everything looks good – he said.

His nineteen-year-old son Theer, who had communication problems, rarely spoke. He was a bright student in small classes, but he suddenly became silent. Difficulties in movement also increased. Constantly showing discomfort and not looking people in the face. Couldn’t finish the sentences. Speech is greatly reduced, and that too only indistinctly.

But Tir came out of the hut and recited many mantras which he had learned inside. Even his father was surprised to see him address the small crowd waiting outside the drink. It was the first time he faced such a crowd, and that too for 20 minutes. Dr. that this is a great achievement. Sethumadhavan comments.

The doctor concluded that his stuttering was due to his ability to review things over and over and over and over again to confirm what to say. The need was to find a balance between thoughts and words.

A rare branch of Ayurveda

A flashback to the mid-1970s:

The scene is the class of first batch graduate students of Thaikat Mooss Ayurveda College, Ollur.

The teacher is imparting basic lessons about the branches of Ayurveda. Six of the eight branches were quickly finished. The name of the seventh is Geriatrics or chemical therapy. As the teacher was about to enter the eighth branch, saying that this method of treatment, practiced in ancient times, was no longer in practice, a student suddenly stood up:

“Why do we study the seventh branch if it is not in practice?” Instead of saying that Ayurveda has eight branches, is it enough to say that there are seven branches in total?”

The teacher was stunned. The question is logical. But the teacher is powerless to cut off a branch of Ayurveda. He ended that debate by saying that chemotherapy was no longer in practice.

But the arguments and disputes continued in the mind of that student.

If not possible now, that branch should just be a part of history. But because it is in the scriptures, it cannot be dismissed as impractical. The student decided to study the subject in depth and put it into practice at some point.

His name was Setumadhavan. Dr. Sethumadhavan researched this method of treatment for many years. He went to distant places and collected ancient texts. Expert researchers were consulted and interpretations were made of all of them. Finally, in 2011, this rejuvenating treatment was proven to be practically feasible. Under his supervision, all the nine people who performed Kayakalpam were able to attain new youth on a large scale.

Weeks of solitary confinement

Thir Miriyala may have been the first to resort to this treatment even before middle age. May be the first to have serious problems.

Yugal Saran Maharajji is a 91-year-old yogi in 2011. Receiving this treatment for the first time from Sethuvamadhavan. In 1938, when social reformer Madan Mohan Malvyak was undergoing chemical treatment, Yugal Saran was a participant. It was the last fruition of the last century.

Sethumadhavan says that it is a difficult process for both the patient and the doctor. Treatment under Kutipraveshika requires the patient to stay alone for weeks in a three-chambered hut. Food will be only rasayana and milk. Long life, memory, youth and strength of body and mind are obtained through this. US citizen Will Fox (resident of Uttarkashi as Kedar) has also testified that his hearing has improved.

Dhatuparinam, or the process of digestion, is brought to the right path by this treatment. It should be practiced completely alone for the specified time, in a place restricted to sunlight and ventilation. Tigarbha Kuti is a three-chambered house specially prepared for this purpose. All the elements necessary to control the five senses are combined there.

Before dying at the age of 100, Yugal Saran said that it was not easy to stay alone for 45 days in the innermost chamber of the three-chambered hut.

“This is not for the weak and fickle,” he said. He also explained the purpose of his undergoing this treatment – “It’s not for me. Not to be young. All this is for Ayurveda. The knowledge of Jara treatment or chemical treatment should also reach other doctors. They should also get the practical wisdom of what is mentioned in the Ayurvedic texts. He has said that it is like returning to the womb and being born again.

Dr. Setumadhavan says. This time Medhya Rasayanas were used for the treatment of nervous diseases and intellectual development. A sick dairy cow should be given chemicals beforehand.

Hair, nails and teeth may fall out in those who consume Medhya Rasayanas inside the house. However, none of the treated teeth have fallen out. Instead, it became stronger. The black hair grew back.

Yugal Saran, a yogi, sought treatment to control his cravings during the first few days of his stay. He was able to reach a hemoglobin level of 15.5, which was impossible for someone his age. Kidney, liver and heart function were similar to those of young adults. He was suffering from leg ulcers and was treating patients in Rajasthan by walking for miles till two days before his death. He used to say that he would not live to be 100 years old.

In 2012, Kolacek Anronin, a citizen of the Czech Republic, spent 60 days in the hut. He was 59 years old and already had black hair. His testimony is that it is possible to maintain youth even today.

After that, Lalita from Canada spent 60 days in the hut in 2014. She recorded the changes she experienced each day inside the lightless chamber. One day the doctor received a note from her asking for sanitary napkins. Menstruation has resumed at age 69! They came out of the chamber with all the mental and physical changes they had experienced written down in the form of a book.

The next chemical treatment here was in 2016. Brenton McNutt, a 69-year-old British citizen, spent 90 days in the house. When it came out, it was claimed that it seems to have decreased by at least 15-20 years.

Kedar spent the most days in Kuti, 152 days. Former bureaucrat Shashi Gulati took voluntary retirement and got ready for treatment. Completed 108 days of treatment in 2020. In the same year, Raman Shah, a 71-year-old native of Gujarat, spent 74 days in Kuti.

Sarvesanthu Niramaya

After the completion of Yugal Saran’s treatment, many applications started coming for this. More than two hundred applications have been rejected. I had to tell many people that they were not capable of receiving such treatment.

“Not everyone can enter the hut. The choice is tough. Younger and middle-aged people will have better results. The mental and physical health of the individual should be considered. In addition, we should see what benefit the society will get from this person’s new youth. What is important is the services people can get from their side”, said Dr. Sethumadhavan explains.

Ayurvedic Gynecologist daughter Dr. Adrija also helps Sethumadhavan in his treatment. Even the most minute things like blood pressure and hemoglobin levels of those entering the hut are being recorded. The team of doctors Akhil, Anjana and Lakshmi are part of the treatment itself.

Dr. Ayurveda is meant to protect people from known or unknown diseases, increase immunity and provide a life free from diseases and drugs. Setumadhavan’s argument. It is the fulfillment of the mantra ‘Sarvesantu Niramaya’ – a life free from disease and medicine.

When asked how doctors would get patients if everyone became physically and mentally healthy, Dr. Sethumadhavan’s answer.
