“Transforming the Health Sector: How Saudi Arabia Doubled its Nursing Workforce”

The Minister of Health, Fahd Al-Jalajil, affirmed that the desire of sons and daughters of the country to work in nursing is one of the outcomes of the initiative of the health sector transformation program in encouraging the profession, which contributed to doubling the number of Saudis from 40 thousand male and female nurses in 2015 AD, to 80 thousand in 2022 AD..

He thanked the nursing practitioners in the public and private health sectors, for their dedication to serving patients, on the occasion of International Nursing Day, which falls today (Friday).

He pointed out that their efforts and sacrifices during the Corona pandemic were appreciated by the leadership and society, and with them and their fellow health practitioners, they crossed to safety, indicating that they felt passion, sympathy, and mastery of the task entrusted to them in that pandemic, and worked with dedication and sincerity to serve the patient.
