The Ministry of Transport established the continuity of the validity of the rate charts and rates established for public automotive and rail transport services under national jurisdiction that were valid as of August 1, through resolution 501/2023 published today in the Official Gazette.
It suspended the tariff update mechanism established in article 11 of Resolution 1,017/2022, which determined that bus and train tickets would increase month by month according to the variation of the Consumer Price Index (IPC) published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec)
In addition, the Secretariat for Interjurisdictional Articulation under the Ministry was entrusted with creation of working groups with the representative business chambers of urban and suburban motor vehicle transport of national jurisdiction and with the operators of railway services, as areas of institutional exchange aimed at monitoring operating costs.
Similarly, hesa Secretariat shall be in charge of reviewing the regulations related to the redetermination of the costs and tariffs of the public services of automotive and rail transport of passengers of national jurisdiction.
In addition, Transport invited the provinces, the city of Buenos Aires and the municipalities to adhere to this resolution.
