Visibly devastated, Marjorie de Sousa spoke to the media to pay tribute to the memory of producer Nicandro Díaz, who died this past March 18 in an accident in Cozumel.

The Venezuelan actress attended Díaz’s funeral this Thursday, with whom she had a close working and friendly relationship, since it was he who gave her her first leading role on television.

“Nicandro returned me to Mexico, he gave me a wonderful project, he was one of the first characters to be formed in ‘True Loves’. De Sousa described the late creator as a man of integrity and talent, full of energy and with many projects to develop, including a play in which she would star.

“The last time I saw him was on Televisa because we were doing the novel (‘Golpe de Luck’), I gave him a big hug and we talked about something that was coming up: he told me: ‘You’re going to see güera, we’re going to organize it to happen.’ ‘. I am in shock”.

When Marjorie found out about Díaz’s death, she was at the Cancun airport, so she started asking around and found out where he was.

“I was with my son, I get on the plane and I start praying, I close my eyes and say: ‘hold on to me Nic, you’re going to be fine, please hold on. I get on the plane and I never connect to the internet, my manager starts calling me and I got a thousand messages saying ‘Nicandro rest in peace’… that’s how I found out, on the plane,” he explained.

She highlighted that Nicandro not only accompanied her in her career, he also advised her on a personal level:

“Thanks to Nic, not only did doors open to me in this country, but worldwide, he always had nice words whenever, in the most difficult moments of my life, he was that person who was there when I needed advice, he was noble. , accessible, a great human being, always dedicated to his children. I don’t understand, maybe they needed him up there,” he concluded.
