Nobody understands how having a CAI 300 meters from the luxurious North Frontier residential complex, in Villa Campestre, and with 5 vans full of bodyguards on the outskirts of the property, two men murdered three members of the Vega clan, on the afternoon of last Thursday, December 29. June.

Investigators say that the hitmen used long-range rifles, but according to videos and bullets that were left in place, they did not fire bursts, but rather shots at specific targets. There is talk that the two hitmen are trained people and that they would have paid 5000 million pesos to cover their escape.

The dead were Ronald Vega Daza, Ray de Jesús Vega Daza and their father Rafael Vega Cuello, members of the Vega clan. Roberto Carlos Vega Daza, another son of the latter, was wounded with only one shot to his left leg.

It is suspected that several of the hitmen could be members of the Tren de Aragua and the ‘Los Melean’ gang, and it is even said that even ex-military from Venezuela could have been part of that hitman incursion.
Another issue that calls out among researchers is how Roberto Carlos Vega Daza has survived three attacks in the last 5 years.

While the corpses were removed, several fireworks were heard and seen.
One of the attacks that Vega Daza survived was the one that occurred at the party that ended in a shootout at the end of last October, inside a luxurious cabin in Puerto Colombia.
Witnesses claimed that Roberto was saved on that occasion because he took refuge inside one of the armored trucks.

Another of the attacks that Vega Daza faced occurred in June 2018. On that occasion he was injured when he was on Calle 99 with Carrera 59B in the Altos de Riomar neighborhood, near the Buenavista de Barranquilla shopping center, in the north of Barranquilla.
In that attack, his brother Ronald was also injured.

In the recent attack on Thursday afternoon, Roberto managed to dodge the shots, because he managed to enter the house.

According to the authorities’ report, the injured man is under medical observation at the Porto Azul Clinic, watched over by a strong component of uniformed officers.
