For having tested positive for a banned product, Tristan Thompson, pivot of the Cleveland Cavaliers, received a 25-match suspension.

Cleveland Cavaliers pivot Tristan Thompson received a 25-match suspension after testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs, the North American Basketball League (NBA) announced in a press release published Tuesday, January 23.

The NBA says Thompson was suspended without pay after traces of the growth hormone ibutamoren and the bodybuilding supplement SARM LGD-4033 were found in his system.

Thompson, 32, will begin his suspension Wednesday when the Cavs travel to Milwaukee. This is his second experience in Cleveland after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers last year.
