Attention all truffle lovers! At the intersection of the Overtoom and the Gerard Brandtstraat in Amsterdam West is a cozy 1920s art deco restaurant: Truffle Boutique. You can enjoy a delicious truffle lunch or truffle dinner here both inside and outside on the terrace.
Comfort food with truffle
When you visit Truffle Boutique, you step into a world where truffle plays the leading role in the dishes. Comfort food forms the core of the dishes because truffle goes well with fatty foods (such as fish and meat). But even if you are vegetarian or want to eat something healthier, you can enjoy various vegetable dishes with truffle.
While looking at the menu we enjoyed Fentimans lemonades which you can get in different flavours, such as ‘Rose’ or ‘Victorian lemonade’. You can also enjoy different types of wines, for example a Dezzani DOCG Gavi (Cortese) or a Scarbolo (chardonnay). All wines have been selected by Truffle Boutique because they go well with the dishes. So you can’t make a wrong choice.

Truffle as an appetizer
We started the evening with three different starters. The ‘Bread & Truffle Butter’ is a good start to get acquainted with the truffle taste. We also enjoyed a ‘Steak Tartare’, with truffle mayonnaise and a ‘Baked Camembert’ with truffle honey and thyme. All three starters were served with crusty sourdough bread that you can eat the starters with.

Pasta with truffle
We have had two different types of pasta as main course. The ‘Ravioli Truffle’ was served with truffle cream sauce and a black truffle filling in the ravioli. A nice creamy dish in which the truffle comes out well. The ‘Tagiatelle’ with lobster and shaved truffle was a bit fresher but just as tasty.

To Tagiate
Dessert Board
After all the goodies we luckily still had a hole left and we were surprised with a ‘Dessert Board’ for dessert. This is a dessert for the real sweet tooth, namely a shelf with all the desserts that Truffle Boutique has on the menu: a cheesecake with oreo crumbs, a brownie with white chocolate and walnuts, a soft chocolate mousse with black truffle oil, salt and chocolate chip cookie crumbs and a lemon meringue pie. And all on one shelf! A super tasty option if you don’t want to choose between all the goodies. We recommend that you share this shelf with several people! 😉

The Truffle Boutique in Amsterdam West is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11:00 AM to 12:00 AM and on Sundays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Highly recommended for all truffle lovers!
