The container was then lowered to ground level and driven across the tarmac to a nearby Air Force C-32A, a modified Boeing 757. While Trump settled aboard the smaller C-32A, the legacy Boeing 747 departed with White House staff and the traveling press corps still inside. Crew members instructed reporters to close their window shades for takeoff.
