Search the Scriptures
Does a woman forget the child she is breastfeeding? Does she stop loving the child she carried? Assuming she does, I won’t forget you.
Isaiah 49:15
I really like swimming where the water is deep. I feel supported, I like this feeling of lightness, a bit like on a thick and very soft mattress. Some, on the contrary, do not feel safe as soon as they no longer have a foothold.
This image makes me think of the Lord. As I trust the water to carry me, I can and we can trust the Lord to carry us.
You probably know this beautiful image of footsteps in the sand. The Lord walks by someone, they leave two footprints. At some point, there is only one left. The person then addresses the Lord: “Where were you when I was in so much pain?” The Lord answered him: “I carried you in my arms.”
Being in the arms of the Lord as adults can seem excessive and even disturbing. However, the Lord has promised to take care of us, even more and better than a mother with her child, the prophet Isaiah tells us. It’s truly wonderful!
Listen to the voice of God
When you are suffering, do you sometimes feel like the Lord has forgotten you? Take the time to listen to what God wants to say to you about this.
Praying is simple. Talk to God like you would your closest friend. God loves you and can hear everything. Here is an example of a prayer: “Lord, I can’t take it anymore, I feel so bad, I’m afraid of the future. Please come to my aid. Take me in your wonderful arms of love !”
Praise God
If you go back a little, you will see how the Lord has taken care of you until today. So you can show him your gratitude for yesterday, and bless him for today and for the rest of your life. He hasn’t changed, he will continue to actively love you!
Take action today
Now dig deeper into what you have received. If you are going through a difficult time, don’t give up on praying. Tell the Lord how you feel, even if He already knows. Dare to believe that he will hold you in his arms, like a mother with her breastfeeding baby!
Honor the Lord
Our journey for the day ends. Let us pray together to honor our God.
“Thank you, my God, you are truly my loving daddy ! Yours be the kingdom, the power and the glory, amen !”
