Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in a speech to his supporters at the headquarters of the Justice and Development Party in Ankara, that the preliminary results of the elections “show our progress by a large margin.”
“We are 2.6 million votes ahead of our closest competitor,” Erdogan said.

The latest results of the Turkish presidential elections suggested a move to a second round of decisiveness between Turkish President Erdogan and his rival Kilicdaroglu.
After 99.76 percent of the vote was counted, Erdogan won 49.27 percent, while his opponent got 45.02 percent, according to the Turkish “Anatolia” news agency.
