During this Wednesday afternoon, TVN confirmed the unexpected departure of one of its journalists from the Press Department.
This is Pablo Badilla, current director of said area, who presented his resignation from the position, which will take effect on April 5. This, after almost two years in that role, after taking office in July 2022.
According to what can be read in the statement, their decision is due to “personal reasons”. In addition, they clarified that this was taken prior to the arrival of Susana García as Executive Director.
“TVN deeply appreciates the work done by Badilla during this period, in which he was responsible for leading great journalistic challenges for the Press department and wishes him the greatest success in his future and upcoming work challenges,” they added in the text.

Meanwhile, the communicator also took a minute to share a farewell message.
“I have been happy leading this group of people from whom I will take with me the best memories. I thank you, mainly for your support and understanding in complex times. I admire your enthusiasm and foolproof commitment to TVN and I encourage you to continue building the public channel that Chile needs and deserves. Until next April 5, I will continue to accompany you in this task. I thank Susana for understanding the reasons for my resignation and I am sure that her professional and human capabilities will be a great contribution to TVN,” said Badilla.
Finally, from the “everyone’s channel” they announced that while the nomination for the position is being defined, the General Editor of Press of TVN, Cristian Steffens, together with Christian Weinborn, General Editor of News of Canal 24 Horas and the General Editor of Media Digital, Diego Valdés, will report directly to Susana García, Executive Director of TVN.
