Twitter will restrict access to its “TweetDeck” product to verified users in the future. The new rules are expected to come into effect in 30 days. Verified users have to pay fees for using the short message service.

This was announced by the social media network on Twitter on Monday. “TweetDeck” allows Twitter users to organize different accounts they follow into columns to get a better overview. Access to “TweetDeck” was previously free for all Twitter users.

The product is mainly used by companies and the media. The planned fees for “TweetDeck” could bring Twitter new revenue. Billionaire Elon Musk’s company has lost revenue under his leadership. Musk has owned the social media network since fall 2022, which cost him $44 billion.
