It is about the application of a special and targeted design in areas that present an increased or specialized form of crime prepared by the General Regional Police Directorate of Crete, carrying out police operations in cooperation with the local Police Directorates and the assistance of police special services.
As part of this action, last week control crews were set up at selected and predetermined points and places whereincreased criminal activity and checks were carried out on people, vehicles, sheepfolds and houses in the wider area of the Municipality of Kissamos, Chania.
During the checks:
- 12 people were arrested, of which 4 for violations of the Weapons Legislation and 8 for violations of the Police Order on animal theft.
- A total of 57 violations were confirmed, of which 40 were for violations of the Road Traffic Code and 12 for violations of the Police Order on animal theft.
- 14 vehicles were stopped.
These actions will continue in the coming weeks with the aim of combating crime and strengthening the sense of security among citizens throughout the Region of Crete.
