Twentyeight Health is a telemedicine company dedicated to providing affordable healthcare to women. It donates 1% of its revenue to the National Institute for Reproductive Health, an organization that fights for equitable access to reproductive care nationwide.
So what exactly does Twentyeight Health sell? Birth control, the morning-after pill, abortion medication in eligible states, prenatal vitamin subscriptions, herpes treatment and COVID-19 testing.
Twentyeight recently acquired two other online prescription services, The Pill Club and SimpleHealth, which are now integrated into its operations.
After selecting the prescription or service you are interested in, you will sign up with Twentyeight Health by completing a short medical questionnaire and providing identification and insurance information. You can upload a picture of your pharmacy insurance card or type the information into an online form.
There is an annual evaluation fee of $26 per medication, which is not covered by insurance. This includes review of your medical questionnaire by a licensed professional and unlimited direct messaging with the professional through Twentyeight Health’s dashboard.
You also have the option to schedule an audio consultation with your professional if you have additional questions or concerns. If you live in Kansas or Mississippi, you must have an audio consultation with a professional to confirm your eligibility. If you live in Oklahoma, you must have a video consultation.
Once they confirm your eligibility, they will write you a prescription or renew your existing prescription, usually within 3–5 business days. Most copays with insurance are $0. But if yours is more than $0, Twentyeight Health will contact you and let you know so you can decide if you want to continue.
Your prescription will then be delivered directly to your home free of charge within 3–5 working days. If you prefer, you can also transfer your prescription to a local pharmacy so you can pick it up instead.

When you use Twentyeight Health for birth control, you’ll have a wide variety of modalities to choose from, including birth control pills, patches, ring, shot, and internal condoms. However, if you choose the Depo shot, Twentyeight Health only accepts specific insurance plans.
